The problem

A time book is kept in good faith — but neither the employer nor the employee can prove it.

A worksite, forty employees, a book at the gate. People clock in for a neighbour, 5:42 pm becomes 6:00 pm, the page is copied out neatly at the end of the month. The day a dispute comes — at payroll, when someone leaves, during an inspection — each side has only its word: the employer pays hours it could not check, the employee worked hours they cannot prove.

The idea: one station, one action, two protections

A tablet fixed at the entrance displays a code that changes constantly. The employee scans it on arrival, then on leaving — or shows a printed card to the gatekeeper if they have no phone.

The month is then frozen in two steps: the manager closes it, a second pair of eyes countersigns — never the same hand, and never while a dispute remains open.

The statement can be checked without anyone taking your word for it

Every countersigned statement carries a unique fingerprint and a signature, and the printed version carries a verification code. An inspector or an accountant with no account on your system scans it and sees whether the document is authentic and matches what was recorded.

What the field dictated

Offline, the station keeps displaying its code and scans wait for the connection to return — the time kept is always that of the action, never that of the sync. Night shifts are counted on the day the shift began, even when clocking out falls on the next day. Each team can have its own schedule — administration at 8 am, watchmen at 6 pm. And the tool invents nothing: schedules, tolerances and the calendar of days off read "To be set" until the institution has decided.

What VERIDY Pointage does not do

It does not sanction. It attests to one thing only: that a person clocked at a given time, at a given entrance. What follows — bonuses, deductions, decisions — remains a human matter, outside the tool.
